BRASILIA, April 15 (Reuters) - Brazil's economy is showing signs of recovery and should expand between 3 and 4 percent in the last quarter of this year, Finance Minister Guido Mantega said on Wednesday.

Speaking to a congressional committee in Brazil's Lower House, Mantega said that the worst of the economic crisis had passed and that the Brazilian economy was on the rebound.

'In March and April the economy already showed signs of recovery. I believe the worst has already passed in Brazil,' he said, adding that the economy could expand 3 to 4 percent in the fourth quarter of this year.

'We'll finish the year with the economy accelerating,' he said.
