Planning on City's Conference Center is Approve

After fulfilling the conditions of Ministério Público Federal (MPF)), Government of Paraíba got, yesterday, liberation for the area on Cabo Branco designated for Paraíba’s Conference Center. With an estimated budget of R$ 104 million, the building works might start in early September. According to Infrastructure Secretary, Francisco Sarmento, Government of Paraíba fulfilled, two weeks ago, all terms established in an Agreement with MPF and IBAMA more than two decades ago.

“We have priorized that for six months and we finalized the replanting of native vegetation, we have regularized water supplies for the area, solving the existing problems.” Thus done, IBAMA reported that to MPF, assuring the approval.

Sarmento says that such building will be a landmark in tourism history in state. “With this center, we will be able to regularize out touristic network, getting better results in our economy even on low-season months, as we will be able to perform various events”. He says that such approval contributes to a massive increasement on real estate prices on the region. “We can expect various kinds of investments, with the building of hotels and resorts.”
